 Maranatha Kids Summer Edition “BUILD” Volunteer Sign-Up

We need YOUR help to make this year’s Build: Constructing Your Life on Jesus a success! Please review the important information below and choose how you’d like to volunteer.

Important Information for Volunteers

Arrival & Schedule

• Please arrive by 5:30 PM on June 15, 16, and 17.
• Be ready to go to your assigned station by 5:35 PM.
• Registration lines open at 5:40 PM.

Volunteer Dinner

• Dinner is provided for all volunteers and their children attending Summer Edition or in childcare.
• Dinner will be served from 4:45 PM to 5:20 PM.

Closing Rally

• Join us for the Closing Rally at the North Canton Skate Center on Thursday, June 18 from 6:00–9:00 PM.
• This event is free for volunteers, kids, and families who attended Summer Edition—you won’t want to miss it!

Volunteer Meeting (Mandatory)

• Thursday, June 11 at 7:00 PM in Room 510.
• You’ll receive your t-shirt, lanyard, schedule of events, and detailed information about your area of service.

Volunteer Opportunities

Please select the role(s) you’d like to assist with:

1. Registration & Dismissal

• Check kids in on the iPads, manage the lanyard table, and escort kids to the worship center.
• Assist with pickup by calling names and checking security tags at dismissal.
• Note: Volunteers must stay until all kids are dismissed at 8:30 PM.

2. Activity Helper

• Assist the team leader with games and activities.
• Have fun interacting with the kids!

3. Craft Helper

• Support the craft team leader in guiding kids through their craft activities.

4. Snack Helper

• Assist the snack coordinator with refilling water, passing out snacks, and cleaning up after each rotation.
• Snack will be served during outreach time in Room 510.

5. Head Guide

• Reserved for those who have served as a Guide in the past.
• You are the point person for your grade and color group (ex. 1st/2nd Grade Blue Team).  You will provide oversight over your group the entire night. 
• Ensure all kids are accounted for when leaving each station.
• Report to the Kids Ministry Director if a need arises.

6. Guide

• Choose your grade rotation and team color:
  • 1st/2nd Grade
  • 3rd/4th Grade
  • 5th/6th Grade
• Meet your group in the auditorium and stay with them throughout the night.
• Responsibilities include greeting kids, keeping them on schedule, assisting with crafts, maintaining order, having Gospel conversations, and having FUN!

7. KiddieWATCH Childcare Helper

• Care for children ages 0–5 (up to entering Kindergarten) for parents volunteering at Summer Edition.
• Duties include lessons, snacks, diapering/toileting, activities/crafts, and clean-up.

8. Childcare for Cooks (June 15 & 16, 3:00–5:00 PM)

• Care for children while their parents prepare meals for volunteers and kids.
• Childcare volunteers for cooks are also welcome to stay for dinner!

Teen Volunteers

We love our teen helpers!

• Teens entering 7th grade through exiting 8th grade (who are not enrolled in the Jr. High mission trip) must have a parent/guardian volunteering on-site.
• Teen volunteers may:
  • Help as runners at check-in
  • Assist with snacks
  • Work in KiddieWATCH
• All teens must be registered to volunteer.
